Hi! Welcome to my corner of the internet. I’m so glad you’re here. It’s my hope that whether you’re reading a post about motherhood, chickens, or sourdough, you feel encouraged.

Who is Megan?
I am the youngest of 4 siblings and I grew up on a hog farm in a small community. Growing up, you could find me playing Barbie’s, playing house, or driving whatever my parents would let me (lawn mower, small tractor, or grand-am) with a baby doll in a car seat tagging along.
Fast forward 20 years, I am now married to my middle school sweetheart and together we have two babies of our own that I get to load up and drive around in the car. Funny how life works! We live in the same community we grew up in and live on a 6 acre farm. Together, we are turning this farm site into our own homestead where we are learning to live off the land a bit more.
After I gave birth to my daughter at home, the desire to stay home with my babies was undeniable. This was a conversation my husband and I had before she was born, but as my maternity leave was ending, we made the decision that I would stay home from my nursing job to raise these babies and tend to our home.
Growing up on a farm was something I took for granted. But now that I’m older, I have a deep sense of appreciation for it, and it’s what I want to give my children. A childhood that is just that, a childhood that is care free, full of learning opportunities, and they have a safe place to make mistakes and thrive in.
A little more about me–I love to write and journal (hello blog), watch a good sunrise, and get a good sweat in. I’m a better me when I’m active. I feel a great sense of accomplishment when trying to get a baby to fall asleep and they finally do. The woman’s body is so intriguing and I feel more empowered the more I learn about it. A good motivational quote or speech is the way to my heart and I thoroughly enjoy challenging my mind with a good book or podcast.
Thank you, again, for being here. For taking a part of your day to be here. Like I said in the beginning, it’s my hope that you feel encouraged and learn something while you’re here.
With love, Megan
